Updates! We have recently added 2 new tutorials to our Resource Page. If you ever found yourself wondering how you could control servo motors using the FIDE, well, now you can. We also cover using the EBlue Bluetooth Module, on the PC and on the FIDE. So if you wanna add peer-to-peer wireless communication to your projects, now is the time. We are slowly working to build our resource page up. So you can look forward to tutorials and resource articles of all kinds coming your way soon. Want to see a tutorial for interfacing the FI Boards to a particular device? Leave a comment at the forums or email us! We'll be glad to respond. |

So we've got 3 things to cheer about. 1) New Tutorial! That's right, you heard us. We now have a tutorial on interfacing a 4x3 Matrix Keypad to our FlamingICE Microcontrollers. So if you've got any of those keypads lying around, grab one and give it a shot at using it for your projects. That's one more tutorial added to our resource page. Next up! GPS interfacing for all those who have an obsession to track anything and everything, or add it to your next autonomous navigation project. Coming soon. 2) FIDE 2.1 PATCH! Right, so here's a patch for the data comm. tool. The tool should work like a charm with full hexadecimal, decimal and ascii data representations after the patch. You will need to have FIDE 2.1 already installed. 3) FIDE Language Reference Updated! We know we told you that FIDE now supports the use of user-defined structures, but we never got round to the whole low down of how you can start using it even though it was just like how you would use it in Visual Studio. So! An entire page (more actually) has been dedicated to how you can use structures in FIDE with VB.NET syntax. Update your copy of the reference today. Download or view it online. More documentations over at the downloads section. |

We now carry the distance measuring sensor, SHARP GP2D12, WITH the compatible 3pin connector. Connector is also available separately for interfacing to the other 3pin SHARP distance measuring sensors. In other updates, we have uploaded the technical paper for our GLCD+RTC Combo complete with example configurations to our FlamingICE Boards. Our Hardware Reference now stands at version 1.5 with slight changes to the pin-outs on the FI28 Board. |

It's the Christmas Season and we have some major updates for you. We have updated our Products Page with a FI40 Essential Package that comes with a FIDE installation CD, plus! an entire category of Connectors consisting of jumper wires, JST sockets and connectors and cables of sorts. And of course, with major updates comes FIDE version 2.1, more bug fixes, more stable, improved and feature packed GLCD Canvas tool at version 2.0.Check out the latest application note for the GLCD tool for a full coverage. FICE Hardware Reference has also undergone a huge update; it now contains comparison tables, electrical characteristics, more detailed pinouts and updated application notes under Appendix A. FIDE System Library has a minor update of some explanation and clarification on the usage of COMM2 on the FI Microcontroller. Not to worry, your documentations under My Documents > AIS Cube > Documentations will automatically be updated once you have installed FIDE 2.1. Please note, due to the large amount of updates, please uninstall any previous FIDE versions before attempting to install the latest one. |

We promised releases of FIDE 2.0 and a resource page. Now that FIDE 2.0 is up, we published the Resource Page with 2 major tutorials to boot. One covers the usage of the new external EEPROM feature, which makes use of the new GLCD Canvas tool to put up an image to the 128x128 Colour GLCD + RTC Combo. The other one has 3 major parts to it. We're still working on the subsequent tutorials to follow, but essentially you'll have enough resources for now to help you draw to the 128x128 Colour GLCD in 2 ways(FICE SD Card and External EEPROM), as well as animating images on the screen and adding sound effects. We based the tutorial on BOB. So there really are a lot of useful tips that you can pick up from the articles on what you can do with the FlamingICE Series, hardware and software wise. Well enough talking. Start clicking and head over to check out those tutorials! |
